Born from the mind behind The Xeno Manifesto and The Price Tag, Brysen Mann Productions Limited is where story meets grit and indie filmmaking gets personal.
What started as one man’s leap into screenwriting has quickly evolved into a full-fledged production venture, where I write, direct, produce, and even step in front of the camera when needed.
Currently in the works: a slate of compelling short films that dive deep into the human condition, shadowed motives, and the unpredictable turns of fate. Armed with a sharp eye, self-financed gear, and a “do it all” attitude, I am building something rare cinema that doesn’t wait for permission.
This is just the beginning. The stories are coming. And they won't go quietly.

THE PRICE TAG
It starts like any other night, an empty bar, a tired bartender, and the low hum of silence begging to be broken. Then he walks in. Not for a drink. Not for company.....
But what unfolds isn’t a typical hold-up. The Price Tag is a slow-burn short film that trades gunshots for dialogue, and tension for truth. As the would-be thief and the bartender face off, what begins as a simple crime spirals into a psychological standoff, where motivations are questioned and assumptions are shattered.
A character-driven story told in real time, The Price Tag explores the fine line between desperation and redemption and what happens when two strangers are forced to see beyond each other’s roles.

FILMING & PRODUCTION
To say the least, shooting The Price Tag was a challenge as the bar we used was only available on Sundays or Stat holidays, the fact we (myself/crew/actor) all had full-time jobs and dealing with the Covid situation at that time…but we got it done. It definitely was a team effort and I could not have accomplished this without such a talented crew!
FILM DATE: 2022 (Re-shoots in 2024)
FILMING LOCATION: Medicine Hat, Alberta
PRODUCTION TEAM & ROLES: A multi-talented crew who all came to the plate in a variety of roles: James Kuehn, April Mandziak, Benjamin Weir, Neil Braun, Rachelle Mandziak, Jessikah Babe.
